News > U.S. Customs & Border Protection Takes Fourth AS350B3 on LEH Contract
May 8, 2009
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has taken delivery of its fourth AS350B3 as part of the Light Enforcement Helicopter (LEH) contract awarded to American Eurocopter by the Department of Homeland Security in July 2008. The CBP has asked for an aggressive delivery schedule with an initial order of 17 Light Enforcement AS350B3s.
The contract is structured as an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery for the base year with four one-year options. American Eurocopter expects orders in excess of 50 additional AS350B3s to the CBP through the life of the contract.
This AS350B3 will join the CBP’s already impressive fleet of Eurocopter aircraft that includes 25 AS350B2s, 29 AS350B3s, one AS350BA, and 19 EC120s.
