American Eurocopter Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award

2010 Vision Zero Aviation Award Winner: Travis County STAR Flight

The Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award was established by American Eurocopter to help promote a higher level of safety within the air medical industry. All Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) programs and operators from the smallest to the largest are eligible for this award, regardless of the number, or type of aircraft you fly. You are free to nominate your own organization.

We are looking for industry leaders and new and innovative ideas to promote safety and help raise the bar for the entire air medical community. Has your organization risen above the industry and distinguished itself by implementing innovations in developing risk assessment tools, safety procedures, quality management, dispatching, crew training, etc. that could be successfully adopted by emergency medical services programs (EMS) or operators to improve EMS aviation safety? Do you know a program or operator committing resources for equipment and training that exceed expectations and go beyond the norm to enhance safety for all of us?

If so, fill out a nomination form for the 2011 American Eurocopter Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award. As part of the award, American Eurocopter will contribute up to $10,000 to the winner to further develop aviation safety initiatives within their organization.

Download the nomination form for the 2011 American Eurocopter Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award, which will be presented on October 17, 2011 at the AAMS Awards Banquet in St. Louis, MO during the Air Medical Transportation Conference.
